+ Competition Information
The youth tournament will be either pool play or double elimination depending on the number of teams entered. Each team is guaranteed three games. Certified umpires will be provided. Depending on team numbers, some games may be played on Friday, July 29 during the day.
Roster Size
Minimum number on roster: 9
Maximum number on roster: 18
Rules
This is not a USA Softball sanctioned tournament but 2022 USA Softball rules will apply. Click HERE to view any rule exceptions.
10 & Under – 35′ pitching distance
12 & Under – 40′ pitching distance
14, 16 & 18 Under – 43′ pitching distance 60′ bases
Teams are responsible for their own equipment. Game balls will be provided. All games will use the official USA Softball ball (yellow). Balls will still be A.S.A Stamped.
Time
The 2022 Tournament schedule will be posted 7 days prior to the tournament.
Age Determining Date
Age determining date for each division is December 31, 2021. For clarification on the year, please see below:
10U: A player born after 2010 is eligible to play.
12U: A player born after 2008 is eligible to play.
14U: A player born after 2006 is eligible to play.
16U: A player born after 2004 is eligible to play.
18U: A player born after 2002 is eligible to play.
The State Games of America reserves the right to combine divisions as needed based on registration numbers.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded to the top three places in each division.
+ Packet Pick-Up
Athletes can pick up their packets at Sukup South End Zone Club at Jack Trice Stadium. Access to Sukup End Zone is from University Boulevard. (MAP)

Teams are not required to submit a roster during registration. All rosters must be submitted online no later than July 22.

Admission:
SGA spectator admissions fee of $160 will be added during registration. This includes unlimited spectators. No wristbands will be given and are not necessary to enter facilities where team sports take place.
Opening Ceremony spectator tickets are not included and can be purchased separately for $10 per person. Ages 2 and under are free. To learn more on how to purchase additional Opening Ceremony Tickets, click HERE.
***All team sports participants and coaches can attend all events (including Opening Ceremony) at no charge. Participants must show their athlete/coach credential for entry. Credentials will be distributed during packet pick-up.
